Mind to Heart is a community-based organization dedicated to promoting mental health, wellbeing, and dignity for all. We work closely with caregivers, families, community groups, and mental health stakeholders to create supportive environments where individuals can live fulfilling, meaningful lives.
Our approach is person-centered, rights-based, and community-driven.
We recognize that mental health is not only a medical issue — it is deeply shaped by social, emotional, and economic factors. For this reason, our work focuses on the whole person, supporting not only their clinical needs, but also their social relationships, caregiving networks, livelihood opportunities, and participation in community life.
We believe that every individual deserves:
Dignity and respect
Access to support and care
Freedom from stigma and discrimination
A meaningful role in their community
By strengthening individuals, empowering caregivers, and engaging the wider community, we help build a society where mental health is valued, and where everyone — regardless of their mental health status — is able to belong, contribute, and thrive.
Our Philosophy
At Mind to Heart, our work is rooted in the belief that every person deserves to live a life of dignity, respect, and belonging. We draw from universal human rights principles and recognize that mental health is fundamental to overall wellbeing.
We commit our resources and efforts to protect, promote, and actualize the rights and needs of individuals living with mental health conditions, those at risk, their caregivers, and their broader communities. Our focus is to address the inequalities, stigma, and discrimination that often prevent these individuals from fully participating in society.
We approach our work through the lens of social justice, seeking transformation not only at the individual level but also within the systems and communities that shape daily life. We catalyze lasting change by supporting strategic initiatives and partnering with other organizations, institutions, and community change agents who share our commitment to mental health and human dignity.
Our Vision
A society where Youth, Women, Men, and Children have an equal opportunity to realize their full potential and aspirations in Health, Socio-Economic, and Political spheres through honesty and hard work.
Our Mission
To build healthier, more equitable, and empowered communities through education, advocacy, and action while nurturing compassion, resilience, and social responsibility.
As an organization, we believe in, and are guided by the following values:
Inclusion: We endeavour to facilitate inclusion at all levels without discrimination on the basis of religion, tribe, sex or any other basis.
Respect: Respect for and safeguarding of human rights and dignity is an overriding consideration in all our actions.
Diversity: We are sensitive to, respect and consciously draw from the diversity in peoples’ identities, cultures, knowledge, abilities and practices.
Integrity: We uphold ourselves to the highest levels of truthfulness, honesty, openness and uprightness, and commit to doing the right things as a matter of principle.
Transparency and Accountability: We uphold stakeholders’ trust through consistent open and prudent administration of fiscal and other resources entrusted to us.
